10+ Years
Experience
Like a trusted friend, but available 365 days a year.
I know from personal experience that leaving your cat is stressful. Catteries can be overwhelming for them, and relying on favours from friends isn't always practical.
I've loved cats my whole life — I grew up with a rescue cattery right in our back garden, which gave me a deep understanding of what cats truly need to feel safe, settled, and cared for. That's the foundation Wendy's Cat-Sitting Service is built on.
Unlike many cat sitters who fit visits around a day job, cat sitting is our full-time career. We're a fully insured, professional team — not a side hustle — and we're available every single day of the year.

The people your cat will adore
Wendy
Founder & Full-Time Cat Sitter
Cat sitting is Wendy's full-time profession — not a side hustle fitted around another job. She founded the service after a lifetime with cats, including growing up alongside a rescue cattery. Her calm, attentive approach puts even the shyest cats at ease.
Katrina
Full-Time Cat Sitter
Katrina is a dedicated, full-time member of the team — not someone squeezing visits between other commitments. She brings years of experience and a genuine gift for building trust with cats quickly, including her own beloved Peter.

your daily updates
Morning! Maple was waiting at the top of the stairs for breakfast 🐾 Tray cleaned, water refreshed, and ten minutes of wand-toy zoomies before she settled into her loaf. Post is in and plants watered. See you tomorrow, Maple!

Lunchtime update — found Bhaji exactly where you said he'd be, in his sunbeam ☀️ Ate everything, had his brush, and supervised me watering the tomatoes. All well at home!

What our clients say
Don't just take our word for it — here's what South Manchester cat owners think.
"Me and my partner have always struggled with finding the right person to look after our very anxious cat while we're away and Wendy has been absolutely incredible! Maple started off hiding away in the wardrobe but Wendy has spent the time and slowly built up the trust with her — and now Maple comes straight out and loves having a fuss from Wendy and is so comfortable around her. I cannot recommend Wendy enough."
Maple's Mum & Dad
Owner of Maple
"Wendy has been absolutely brilliant. I work away a lot, and I know Wendy will give my cats absolutely brilliant care and attention — not just feeds but playtime and the enrichment they need. They're really comfortable around her, and I get the sense they perhaps like her more than me!"
Samosa & Bhaji's Dad
Owner of Samosa & Bhaji
"When we brought our new kitten Saffron into our home she needed extra care and attention as she was integrating with our other cats. Her behaviour was a bit challenging, but Wendy really did a lot of research and helped us get Saffron successfully integrated into our fuzzy household with regular play, visits, interaction and introductions."

Questions we get asked
Do you visit every day?
Yes — every visit is daily, no exceptions. Your cat will be seen, fed, and cared for consistently for the full duration of your time away. We never skip a day.
Do you need a key to my home?
Yes, we'll arrange a key handover before your first booking. Key collection is completely complimentary and we store your key securely. Many clients leave a spare with us permanently — it's one less thing to think about before your next trip.
Are you fully insured?
Absolutely. We hold £5 million public liability insurance, so you and your home are covered throughout every visit. We're also DBS checked and first aid trained.
Are you a cattery or boarding service?
We're not a cattery and we don't offer boarding — and that's entirely by design. We specialise exclusively in professional in-home cat sitting, which means your cat stays exactly where they're happiest: at home in their own territory, with their familiar smells, routines, and favourite spots. We really believe this makes a huge difference to how they cope while you're away.
What if my cat needs medication?
No problem at all — we can administer oral medication, transdermal treatments, drops, and insulin injections, as long as everything is clearly labelled with dosage instructions. Just share the routine with us and we'll follow it carefully, every single visit.
What happens if there's an emergency?
We'll contact you immediately and, if needed, take your cat to your registered vet. We ask for your vet's details and an emergency contact number before every booking, just in case. Wendy's own recommended vet is the Manchester Cat Clinic — a cat-only practice in Manchester city centre.
How will I know how my cat is getting on?
You'll receive a photo update after every single visit — a little message to let you know how they're doing. Most clients tell us this is their favourite part of the whole service.
Can my cat go outside during visits?
If your cat normally has cat-flap access, we're happy to continue that as part of their usual routine. We always encourage them back indoors before we leave, though we can't guarantee they'll oblige — cats will be cats! Just bear in mind that if they're not ready to come in, they may need to wait outside until the next visit. We'll always let you know if this happens.
Does my cat need to be vaccinated?
We strongly recommend keeping vaccinations up to date — it's the best protection for your cat and gives everyone peace of mind. We can still care for unvaccinated cats, but we're unable to accept liability for illness or disease transmission, and vet fees may not be covered by our insurance in those cases. If you're unsure, a quick check with your vet before booking is always worth it.
Do my cats need to be microchipped?
Yes — all cats in our care must be microchipped and registered, in line with UK law. Responsibility for compliance stays with you as the owner, but if you're unsure whether your cat is chipped, your vet can check in seconds.
Do you care for other animals?
Yes! Alongside cats, we can provide in-home care for small animals including rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, rats, and fish. We don't offer dog walking or dog sitting, but if you've got a little menagerie at home, we've got you covered.
Can you help keep my home looking lived-in while I'm away?
Yes — it's all included at no extra charge. Alongside caring for your cat, we'll adjust curtains, switch lights on or off, water your plants, bring in the post, and handle any other small home tasks that need doing, so your home looks occupied the whole time you're away.
What happens if food or litter runs out?
We ask owners to make sure there's enough food, litter, and supplies to last the full booking before they head off — it's worth a little stockpile before you go! If things do run low, the easiest fix is to arrange a delivery straight to your door. If we need to step in and buy essentials ourselves, we'll keep the receipt and add the cost to your invoice.
Can other people access my home during the booking?
We'd kindly ask that no one else has access to the property while we're looking after your cat — our insurance doesn't cover damage or theft where multiple parties have keys. The only exception is regular cleaners, who are absolutely fine to continue as normal. If you have any concerns, just mention it when you enquire and we can chat it through.
Do you visit on bank holidays?
Yes, we visit seven days a week including bank holidays. Bank holidays and peak days are subject to a 50% surcharge — we'll always let you know in advance.
How do I get started?
Simply send an enquiry via the form below or drop us a WhatsApp. We'll arrange a free meet and greet so your cat can get to know us before your trip — no obligation, just a friendly introduction.
