The big Victorian conversions here mean she's well practised with shared hallways, flights of stairs, and the particular knack of stopping an ambitious cat slipping past her onto the landing.
Many Whalley Range cats are indoor cats by necessity — flat living and busy roads make it the sensible choice — and indoor cats feel any disruption to their world keenly.
